My name is Haley Marie. I grew up on Cape Cod in Massachusetts. I spent most of my early life roaming the beaches of Cape Cod and admiring the beauty of nature. I was lucky and fortunate enough to be raised in a household where creativity and finding your passion was encouraged early on.

Both my sister and brother are successful artists on Cape Cod. Their mediums range mostly on paper or through use of different mixed media. My dad has worked for himself his entire life and runs his own successful luxury brand of real estate on the Cape. I myself never had a "niche" for drawing on a piece of paper, but I did inherit the endless drive and determination that my dad showed me when it came to running a business. In high school, I found my creative niche through photography. I focused primarily on traditional Black & White Photography (the old school kind that you get to develop yourself in a dark room- ancient, I know!) So when I thought about my future, I always saw myself attending an art school in Boston and focusing on photography. As much as I loved photography, I didn't love school itself, it was very "cliquey" and bullying was the 'norm' in such a small town. However, while I was in high school, I would express my creativity through what I wore, whether that be my clothes, my hair or my makeup. I'd often have people in school ask me to do their makeup for dances, proms, or special occasions. When I turned 18, I was finally allowed to get a job in our local mall (yes, there's literally one mall for an entire island, and most stores required that you be 18). Where we lived, working in the mall was a "big deal". I had a co-worker at my current job that also worked for Bare Minerals, they were hiring, and she was able to get me an interview with the store manager.

When I met my manager, I was so nervous as I was on my break at my other job in the mall and thought I would just end up being told to fill out an application and come back later. My manager saw me and immediately said "hey, what are you doing right now? I want you to do a "make-under" interview on Natasha". I was freaking out inside and trying not to let it show on the outside. I'd never done makeup with someone judging me let alone, looking over my shoulder, critiquing my makeup 'skills'. Luckily, I got through the interview with flying colors and she hired me on the spot. Within the first month, I was going to my first "Seminar" training at Bare Minerals which they called "Boot Camp". I was posted up in a hotel room with two of my co-workers and they'd give us a three day training in everything makeup and Bare Minerals.

Walking into the first day of Boot Camp, something sparked inside me. There were mood boards throughout the room, products, and makeup stations set up in every corner. That's where we were introduced to our sales trainer Helen. Listening to Helen talk and share her passion with us was so inspiring. Her drive and motivation in turn motivated me. She was a strong and independent woman who found her passion in life and she used makeup as her outlet. I knew I had found something special that day. We spent that weekend doing makeup on one another, learning about the brand and displaying our talents. I knew I had done something right when I got the approval from my trainer herself, and that's when I knew, THIS is what I wanted to do with my life. Makeup was my niche and I could really make something of myself with this.

I spent eight and a half years at Bare Minerals, I climbed the ladder working from a sales associate, to a keyholder, to an assistant manager. During this time I picked up other side jobs, working as a teller at a bank which helped me to make friends in the local hair and makeup industry. I then decided to make my passion "more official" and attended Spa Tech in 2016 to get my aesthetics license. This helped me to really understand not just makeup, but skincare as well. Eventually I got my foot in the door at a salon in Chatham Massachusetts where I was lucky enough to be able to train under professional makeup artist, Erica Gomes. She taught me so many tips and tricks that I would have never known if it wasn't for her. She didn't look at me like a lot of people in our industry can, as competition, she held me as an equal and lifted me up and made me feel like I was worthy of everything I was working for and towards. That confidence eventually led me to a bigger salon with more of a following. I freelanced for them doing weddings for three years. Sadly, for the entire Bare Minerals Cape Cod team, our store was eventually closed. But it led me to bigger and better things.

I met my (now husband) Nick, and we had dreams of leaving Cape Cod and building a life somewhere we both loved. We moved to Portland Maine in 2018, and eventually made our way up the Mid-Coast of Maine where we welcomed our son, Riley in April of 2019. In October of 2023 we had our second son, Jackson.

I was fortunate enough to meet my amazing hair partner, Missy Hall while living on the Mid-Coast. We hit it off when we met doing our first wedding together. It was like we had known each other our entire lives. I had never met someone who had that same level of drive and passion as me when it came to the business I ran doing weddings. Missy and I eventually decided to make it official and partner up as a team and created Bridal Artistry by Missy & Haley in 2020. From time to time, we do work on our own, even though we wish we didn't have to!

My husband and I had our eyes set on the mountains and made our final move to Fryeburg at the end of 2020. We got married in September of 2021 and have been focusing on building both of our businesses and family during this time. Missy and myself have continued to grow our business over the years despite the driving distance between us. COVID definitely made that significantly harder, and we were both scared that our business might not make it in a time where being "close" to anyone wasn't even an option. However, we made it through, and we have continued to grow. We did over 120 weddings between and 2022/2023 and 2024 is gearing up to be the same exact way.

I take so much pride in the business I run and what I have the amazing opportunity to do each and every day. So many people see makeup as something "vain" or unnecessary. But I see it as not only a way to express myself personally, but also a way to lift others up through building their confidence and making them feel beautiful inside and out. I focus my talent on accentuating the things you love most about yourself while hiding the things that you don't. My specialty has always been the "no-makeup-makeup" as well as "natural glam". My goal is to make you feel like the most beautiful woman in the room for your big day and giving you that boost of confidence that each bride deserves on their big day.
